A Strong Body Is Hard but Makes a Healthy Body Easy

b2ap3_thumbnail_j0430796I read another article in the paper today touting the value of exercise in creating a healthy body and lifestyle.  The articles and commentaries on the subject are ubiquitous.  It seems to me a day never passes where the direct relationship between following a regular exercise regimen and good health is not discussed.

Now, you might be thinking something like, then why are you addressing the topic again!!  Simple…because most people are not taking heed regarding all the evidence supporting the importance of regular, moderate exercise and a disciplined diet.  Since I believe that is the case, I thought maybe if I did a little of the online research legwork, you would get up and after an exercise program.

Here’s a link to a Mayo Clinic article on the 7 Benefits of Regular Physical Activity.  Here’s a quote from the article that summarizes…

The bottom line on exercise

Exercise and physical activity are a great way to feel better, gain health benefits and have fun. As a general goal, aim for at least 30 minutes of physical activity every day. If you want to lose weight or meet specific fitness goals, you may need to exercise more. Remember to check with your doctor before starting a new exercise program, especially if you haven’t exercised for a long time, have chronic health problems, such as heart disease, diabetes or arthritis, or you have any concerns.

If you don’t trust the experts at the Mayo Clinic, here’s a link to an article from the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention.  The topic is Physical Activity and Health.  Here’s a quote of the last line of the article:

Everyone can gain the health benefits of physical activity – age, ethnicity, shape or size do not matter.

Follow the links and get moving!  Your stronger body will make it easier to achieve a healthy body.  Frankly, your life depends on it!
