Medium Musings

Helping organizations by guiding them to performance improvement solutions, Gary Greenfield is an interested, evaluative and thorough mindstate mentor, author, trainer and speaker. His expertise is mindstate management, public speaking skills, sales skills, inspirational leadership skills, and strategic planning.

He had three decades of experience in the financial services industry when he made the leap from a career in the corporate world to the self-employed life of business consultant, mentor, author and professional speaker. In this latter role, he has been impacting the lives of people for over a decade and a half.

Gary’s first book is entitled, Life’s Ride or Fall…You Make the Call. It received Honorable Mention at the New York Book Festival. Currently, he has two books in the planning stages while also having published an eBook entitled, Mindset Hacks: A Cheat Sheet on Positive Thinking.

Since 2007, he has authored over 300,000 words in hundreds of articles he has posted on his blog. His original, inspirational tweets on Twitter number over 10,000.

Gary is a professional member of the National Speakers Association, the Florida Speakers Association and the Global Speakers Federation.

Long View

Gary Greenfield began his business career in the financial services business in Billings, Montana, as a self-employed agent with MassMutual Life Insurance Company.

Three years later he was appointed Staff Supervisor for a Denver, Colorado MassMutual agency, and was responsible for agent recruiting, selection, training and supervision.

After eight years as a self-employed business person, Gary was promoted to Home Office Career Development Consultant for MassMutual; later to Superintendent of Agent Development and then Regional Director of Agent Development. His responsibilities included the design and implementation of sales and management training programs. In addition, Gary built a strong reputation as a speaker on recruiting, selection, training, supervision and sales methods.

Line responsibilities became a part of his experience when he was promoted to Superintendent of Agencies for MassMutual’s Midwestern Region. His performance in that role resulted in his transfer a couple of years later to the larger Eastern Region where he was responsible for development and growth in premium productivity of the agencies.

After over fifteen years with MassMutual, Bankers Life and Casualty Company, came calling and elected Gary Vice President of Field Development. Responsibilities of the position included agent development, management development, product implementation, marketing communications, advanced sales and agent prospecting support programs.

Gary’s pursuit of the corporate “brass ring” continued ten years later when he joined Pioneer Financial Services, Inc., as Executive Vice President of Marketing. This position carried with it responsibilities including agent and management training programs, field communications and recognition programs, lead programs, marketing administrative support, leadership of the national brokerage sales operation, special products/advanced sales support and product development.

The old cliché about never burning a bridge came into play three years later. Over thirteen years after resigning his position with MassMutual he was asked to return as Agency Vice President for the Central Region of the USA—responsibilities included the growth and development of 21 sales offices and 1100 sales representatives within the region.

Three years into his dream role as Agency Vice President a corporate pension buy-out was offered to several hundred MassMutual employees. Gary was one of them and took that opportunity to launch into a new direction that had been playing on his mind for several years. He formed his current company, Performance Alliance, L.C., to help business organizations maximize productivity and define strategies for profitable growth through his business consulting/coaching, presentations and training.

Over that last decade-and-a-half, Gary’s business has evolved to focus on providing organizations and their people personal development resources which help them escape the pain of stress and make more money because they have a mindstate positively focused on making progress in their businesses and lives. Those resources will include self-help(inspirational) books in all publication forms; serial ebooks; webinars; info-products and speaking/training engagements.
