After Some Wonderful Thinking What Happened to It?

Life is not a static state of euphoric suspension in time. Time moves on. Life moves on.  Think about it!

It doesn’t make any difference who you are or where you are in life. The continuous acquisition of knowledge is a requirement to achieving true fulfillment.

A full life is a never-ending process of discovery and growth. As I said above, it’s not a static state of euphoric suspension in time. Time moves on. Life moves on!

But, the “moving on” requires more than just the acquisition of new knowledge. It requires the application of the newly acquired knowledge in some meaningful way that adds a new dimension to your life.

What I’m trying to say may be best stated through the following quote:

“Reading furnishes the mind only with materials of knowledge; it is thinking that makes what is read ours.”–John Lock

So, are you making what you read yours? Are you doing some major “after thinking” on what you read, hear, see and learn?

It is only through that thinking and pondering that you can apply what you have learned in a way that is meaningful and productive.

Reading, listening and watching gives you a feel for information that may be important to you.

Thinking about what you’ve read, heard, or have seen gives you an idea of how the information is applicable in your situation.

However, if you don’t apply what you learn, your personal growth and development is at best stunted.  Application of a constant, growing body of new knowledge is the ultimate key to a fulfilling life.

Some months ago, I wrote another post the information in which may provide you with further motivation to take some positive action after doing some wonderful thinking.

Otherwise, your life becomes an afterthought!
