From a very young age most, if not all, of us have been asked by someone, “What do you want to be when you grow up?”  Great question?  I don’t think so.  How can a little child truly have any idea what they want to be when they grow up.  They are entirely too busy at just being a child!

There’s a lesson in there for all of us.  Focus on being not becoming.  You can’t become until you be something other than what you want to become.  Being is the foundation for becoming.  Otherwise, there is no point of reference.  Without being, you don’t know where you are.  You have to be in the moment to get to the future!

Putting too much emphasis on the future creates unnecessary anxiety in the present.  Enjoy the moment.  Learn from it.  Grow from it.  Create from it.  And, you will ultimately become something other than what you were in each previous moment.  The key is to recognize the future is born of this moment and what you do with it.

So, as the title suggests, be comes before come in “become.”
