Mindstate Motivation Blog

I shouldn’t have to tell you to do that!  It should be an involuntary function of your body so why title a post that way?  Good question!  Let me figure that one out.

Here goes!!  There’s a wonderful quote that gets right to the heart of the matter.  My research into the source of the quote generally suggests the author is unknown.  That, however, doesn’t make the quote any less relevant to our purposes, here.  “Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.”

In other words, don’t labor through life with an attitude of it being a chore.  Yes, sometimes life’s trials make it very hard to take that next breath.  On the other hand, if you don’t take that next breath, who can actually confirm beyond a shadow of a doubt that things will be better for you on the other side?  Breathe!

Things can always get better if you take a breath and rebuild your resolve to stay the course…overcome…persevere…hang in there, whatever!  If you don’t breathe none of those foregoing actions is possible.  When you breathe, all things remain possible.  It’s just a matter of truly believing it’s so.

Don’t count the days of your life…the number of breaths you take.  Stay in the moment each day of your life and allow the wonder of it to take your breath away each and every day.

The photo at the top of this post is one I took during a recent trip to my home state of Montana.  The place just takes my breath away…but it makes me want to breathe!
