Common Commodity

Calvin Coolidge said it.  “The most common commodity in this country is unrealized potential.”  Given the chronology, he would have made that comment approximately 100 years ago…give or take a year or two.  So, what’s the point?

Well, here we are roughly 100 years later and his statement still rings true.  The validation of it is all around you.  In any aspect of life in this country, you can see the opportunities slipping away.  It’s true economically, spiritually, politically, academically and even at the family level.  That’s the bad news.

But, let’s look at the positive side of the ledger for a moment.  There is no aspect of life in the United States that can’t be turned around and put back on the historical path of applying American ingenuity, can-do attitude and commitment.  It’s starts with you, however.

It isn’t about them.  It’s about you!  You and each one of the rest of us drive the changes that are necessary to drive the common commodity of unrealized potential into a powerful surge to potential.

Only you can decide what you are going to do first.  Choose carefully because the rest of us are depending on all of us…that includes you!
