Do You Know Why Your Words Actually Speak?

You have an awesome power at your disposal every minute of every day.

It’s the power of your words.

Your words speak in ways far beyond just the words themselves. They actually paint a picture of you, as a person, in the moment the words are spoken.

They can lift you up or beat you down as they are received and perceived by those to whom you are communicating.

Think about it in this way. It is what you say–the words you use–as well as how you say them.

The key here is for you to broaden your understanding of the words in your chosen language and then become adept at using them appropriately.

People perceive a great deal about your potential for success or your own feelings about your level of success by what you say and how you say it.

Mark Twain once said, “The difference between the right word and the almost right word is the difference between lightning and the lightning bug.”

I would add the following extension to Twain’s thinking:

The difference between having the right attitude when saying each word and an almost right attitude is the difference between success and failure in communicating effectively with people.

The bottom line is it takes the right attitude to light each word you say and deed you do with the warm glow of success.

Speak your words so your words speak volumes about the positive essence of you as a person.

What “words” are you going to say to yourself to define the actions you will take to implement these ideas?
