Doing the Impossible

Sounds impossible, doesn’t it?  I mean if something is impossible, how could you do it?  It’s impossible, right?

There’s a great word that describes my point very succinctly:  oxymoron.  Impossible and possible used together create an oxymoron.  In other words, one cancels out the other, so to speak.  More formally, an oxymoron is defined as a figure of speech in which apparently contradictory terms appear together.

So, again, back to the question…if something is impossible how could you make it possible?  The answer is all tied-up in your attitude, my friend.  You either see things as half empty or half full.  It’s a perception you can change, if you want to.  Then, you wonder, why should I?  Answer:  It’s impossible to live a full life filled with rich opportunities when you think in terms of impossibilities rather than possibilities.

Christopher Reeve said it best:  “So many of our dreams at first seem impossible, then they seem improbable, and then, when we summon the will, they soon become inevitable.”

Doing the impossible is having the will to change the circumstances to achieve the inevitable.  You doing that is, in fact, possible!
