Every Barrier Has Two Sides

b2ap3_thumbnail_MP900425205I really dislike the implication of a barrier.  Running into something that prevents or blocks my movement in some way is always annoying to me.  Or, even worse yet is a communication barrier that makes it difficult for people to understand each other.  In my opinion no barrier is a good barrier!  Oh, I guess if the barrier is in place to protect life and limb than that’s okay.

Regardless, I think the worst barriers are those we self-impose.  You know what I mean.  You think you can’t do something and, sure enough, you can’t!  The problem isn’t whatever you wanted is unattainable.  The problem is your mindset made it unattainable.  AKA…your mind put up a big fat barrier to getting what you said you wanted.

I believe life is not a super highway to self-actualization.  If it were easy to become all you can be, do or have, than how boring would that be?  No…it is the barriers that pop-up along your road of life that makes achieving something just that much more valuable and appreciated.  The point is, however, you do have to not allow the barriers to become dead ends.  You have to learn how to fight your way through, over, under or around them.  It’s that fight that makes life worth living!

Steel yourself to the reality that everything you want is on the other side of the barriers you run into.  In other words, every barrier has two sides to it.  On one side is everything that prevents you from achieving your dreams.  On the other side, are all the rewards of achieving your dreams.

Find the passion in your dreams such that it gives you the emotional drive to overcome each barrier.  Barriers always fall in the face of passion!
