He Who Laughs Lasts

b2ap3_thumbnail_MP900426517It goes deeper than showing you are happy or that you think something is funny.  It isn’t only about the emotion of mirth, joy or even scorn.  To frequently find amusement or pleasure in something that drives you to laugh is literally lifesaving.  In short, laughing helps you last whether you’re a he or a she!

There are a myriad of studies out there to validate my point.  My bottom-line for this post is to lead you to some of the observations in those studies that confirm the value of putting frequent laughter into your daily routine.  Don’t laugh…I’m serious!  Oh…go ahead it’s good for you!

The infectious nature of laughing pulls people together in ways almost no other action can do.  It sounds funny but it is true.  As stated by Paul E. McGhee, Ph.D., in an article entitled Laughter Is the Best Medicine as published in Helpguide.org:  “Your sense of humor is one of the most powerful tools you have to make certain that your daily mood and emotional state support good health.”
