Here’s The Question

b2ap3_thumbnail_j0426621Why don’t you?  That’s the question!

Why don’t you do what you say you’re going to do every year at New Year’s Resolution time?  Why don’t you question all your beliefs until you don’t have to question them anymore?  Why don’t you cash in your chips when you’re ahead rather than after you’ve lost everything and then some?  Why don’t you finish what you started?  Why don’t you believe that you can be an outstanding success?

Last question:  Get my point?

The “Why don’t you” question is a big question.  Until you have the answer to it in its every iteration you cannot possibly self-actualize.  You can’t be all you can be until you can answer all you can?

Why can’t you?  Simple…By definition, self-actualization means “the achievement of one’s full potential through creativity, independence, spontaneity, and a grasp of the real world.”  If you can’t answer all the “Why don’t you?” questions related to the various aspects of that definition you are trapped at somewhere less than your full potential.

So, what to do?  Here’s some typical characteristics you must exhibit if you are to self-actualize per Abraham Maslow:  Sixteen answers to Why don’t you?

Now, you don’t have any excuse…so, Why don’t you?
