Let It Be

Yes, I’m a Beatles fan but their wonderful music is not what this post is about.  It’s about your sense of yourself and your relationship with life.

It seems to me too many people are overly tense about living their lives.  There’s little flow to their life and a lot of force…meaning, trying to force things to happen rather than letting the rhythm of their lives bring things to them.  This is not to say that you shouldn’t be pro-active about the course your life takes.  Of course, you have to have a plan and take action on that plan.  That said, though, there’s a big difference between a plan that allows for life’s rhythm and a forced effort at living.

So, what are you to do in trying to achieve great things in your life and still recognize that life has a rhythm to it?  An “all good things in good time” aspect to it that is undeniable.  Here’s some sage advice from a thoughtful person, Jerry Brown, that may help you.

“Life simply is.  It follows its course.  Give yourself to the moment.  Let life reveal itself to you.”

In short, let it be.
