Reasons to Remain Young at Heart and Mind

b2ap3_thumbnail_j0444440_20140912-185800_1We all struggle with the reality of aging.  It is inevitable but it doesn’t have to be a monster of misery.  It is all in how you deal with it rather than try to avoid it.  The key is to do the things physically that keep your body supple and strong while exercising your mind and leveraging its power.  That’s the how of the issue.  What follows are some gems of thought regarding reasons to remain young at heart and mind.

“And the beauty of a woman, with passing years only grows!”
― Audrey Hepburn

“You don’t stop laughing when you grow old; you grow old when you stop laughing.”
― George Bernard Shaw

“Your face is marked with lines of life, put there by love and laughter, suffering and tears. It’s beautiful.”
― Lynsay Sands

“It`s not how old you are, it`s how you are old.”
― Jules Renard

“Grow old with me! The best is yet to be.”
― Robert Browning

“The land of easy mathematics where he who works adds up and he who retires subtracts.”
― Núria Añó

“The more candles on my cake means I get a little more exercise in blowing them out.”
― Donna Lynn Hope

“It’s often only as beauty fades that it becomes apparent it was ever there.”
― Jane Tara,

“When someone says they feel old, I always want to ask them why they feel old. Time passes for everyone. No one is exempt.”
― Donna Lynn Hope

“Just because you’re grown up and then some doesn’t mean settling into the doldrums of predictability. Surprise people. Surprise yourself. ”
― Victoria Moran

The moral I take from those ten thoughts is:  Jump onto the unstoppable train of aging; stoke the firebox and blow your whistle all the way to the end of the tracks!
