The Difference

There are such minuscule differences between being good and being great.  For many of us being good at something is good enough.  But, I’m of the opinion that a great life is not gained through a good effort.  Furthermore, life is so fleeting, why wouldn’t you want it to be a great experience?  Good question and here is one great answer!

As I said, and It doesn’t make any difference your source, the difference between achieving good things and great things is minuscule.  It’s in the details rather than the big picture.  One of those details is the difference in the thinking driven by two little words, can and will.

Thinking you can doesn’t necessarily mean you will.  In other words, just because you think you can do something doesn’t mean you will pay the price.  Yes, when you think you can do something, you have a positive start.  But, that’s all it is…a start.  A start always has to result in a finish, if you are truly going to achieve anything.

In contrast, when you say you will do something, you are at a whole different level of thinking.  With an attitude of “I will,” you are committed.  Big difference!  Commitment is the key to achieving the results you want.

So, if you want to make a difference, think “you will” rather than just “you can.”
