True Reflections

Okay.  So, here you are…one of those people that is soooo good at kidding yourself.  You have it down to a fine science.  You’ve become so adept at tricking yourself into believing the unbelievable that you can’t believe it!  (Think about that last sentence…its message will sink in after a moment of reflection.)

Back to the point.  Trust me!  You can’t believe yourself if you are not absolutely true to yourself.  There is no tricking a tricker.  The trick is to recognize that and do something about it before it’s too late for you to recover.  Life is too short to be living it in a delusion of your own doing…let alone someone else’s.  You have to commit yourself to truth in all things at all times.

Maybe some kind of analogy will help you understand my point.  What do you see when you look into a mirror?  That’s right…a reflection of you.  And, by the way, it is a true reflection of the external you.  Yes, the reflection in the mirror is reversed but other than that it’s a perfect picture of you…almost.

Where we get in trouble is when we think we can fool that reflection in the mirror.  We begin to believe that our external reflection is the truth even when our internal reflection of thoughts is not in line with that truth.

Here’s the truth.  Mirrors always give a true reflection of their subject.  Whatever you think so shall you reflect to the external world.
