What Are the 2 Most Valuable Days in Your Life?

The late Cavett Robert said:  “If you don’t think every day is a good day, just try missing one.”

Powerful thought, don’t you think?

Consider the amazing wonder of another day in your life.  The universe moves through its inexorable cycle and the sun rises and sets over your horizons.

In between those two events you go about living your life…hopefully, in the best way you can.  You do this over and over; year in and year out.

I don’t mean to make it sound like your life is a grind.  However, you may feel like lots of people who take a negative attitude toward the days in their lives.  One miserable day after another!

Regardless of how you feel about it, it is important to understand why people can feel that way.  Furthermore, it is just as important to understand what to do about it.

Let’s think back in time to the first of the 2 most important days of your life.

It is the day you were born.

That is the day where you were given the initial chance to create a life of your choosing.  Without that day happening nothing else in your life would be possible because you wouldn’t be here.

Scientists have estimated the odds of any one of us being born are approximately 2,240 trillion to 1.  Heelllooo!

Those odds make you a living, breathing miracle and one of a kind in the entire universe!

Consider your personal miracle as you ponder the wonder and potential of each new day in your life.  Each day gives you 86,400 seconds to get maximum leverage out of the fact of your birth and the ensuing life.

Interestingly, what you choose to do with each of those seconds every day is actually determined by the second most important day in your life.

That day is the day you reach a clear and indelible realization of why you are here.  When you know why you live each day of your life you have found purpose.

Purpose is formally defined as “the reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists.”

Your first and most important task to experiencing a life well-lived is to figure out your purpose…why you exist.

When you find your purpose, you will find the passion to leverage each second of every day to its highest value.

By the way, here, I refer to the word, value, as defined by your principles or standards of behavior.  It is your principles that drive you to determine what is important in your life.

When you know what is important in your life you will do the most important thing…the right thing.

It is doing the right thing that will be of greatest value to you and, by extension, the greatest value to those around you.

Don’t have any idea how to find your purpose?  Try these 7 strange questions!  SPOILER ALERT!  They are really strange (and a little profane) but they will make you think in powerfully, purposeful ways.

I hope you took the very few minutes it requires to consider the questions I linked to above.  One or more of them can be a powerful stimulus to your “purposeful” thinking.

Now, however, for what I consider the ultimate resource for understanding why having a clear vision of your purpose is so important.  Also, this article gives you clear steps to take toward your purpose.
